Calling Back
Your Power

From Collapse to Agency: An 8-week somatic journey for mental health workers, social workers, and social justice practitioners who have given everything to the work — and need support reclaiming themselves.

Next Cohort Begins Tuesday 22nd September, 2026

The Problem (Why This Course Exists):

Something has changed, and it's not what you think.

You entered this field to make a difference. You've witnessed suffering, advocated within impossible systems, and held other people's pain — often without anyone holding yours.

And now your body has done something completely sensible.

It's stopped.

The collapse response — sometimes called dorsal vagal shutdown — is what happens when the nervous system has received the message, over and over, that nothing works. That change isn't safe. That showing up fully is too costly.

It looks like flatness. Disconnection. The inability to feel what you know you should feel. A kind of internal disappearance.

It is not weakness. It is not burnout in the ordinary sense. It is your nervous system protecting you.

And it responds — deeply and reliably — to somatic work.

What is Calling Back Your Power?

The Reclaim Programme is an 8-week online group course that combines nervous system education, somatic practice, and community with others who understand the specific pressures of working in care and justice.

Each week builds on the last — so by the end, you don't just understand what happened to you. You feel different in your body.

What's Included?

  • 8 x 90-minute live online group sessions

  • Guided somatic practices to use between sessions

  • A private community space for reflection and peer support

  • Access to all session recordings

  • A somatic practice guide to keep after the programme ends

What We Explore Together, Week by Week

  • Week 1 — Understanding the Collapse Response

What's actually happening — and why it makes complete sense.

  • Week 2 — Mapping Your Nervous System

Learning to read your own body's signals.

  • Week 3 — The Body's Language

Listening to what your nervous system has been trying to tell you.

  • Week 4 — Titration and Resourcing

Building a felt sense of safety from the inside out.

  • Week 5 — Agency in the Body

Restoring the physical experience of 'I can.'

  • Week 6 — Working with Systemic Overwhelm

When the problem isn't just inside you — and how to hold that without collapse.

  • Week 7 — Reclaiming Meaning

Reconnecting with your 'why' — without bypassing the reality of what this work costs.

  • Week 8 — Sustainable Forward Motion

What comes next, and how to keep going — differently.

FAQs

Q: I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is a collapse response — how do I know if this is right for me?

A: If you work in a caring or justice-focused profession and you've noticed flatness, disconnection, or loss of agency that hasn't responded to usual support, this programme was designed with you in mind. Book a free 30-minute consultation and we can explore it together.

Q: Is this therapy?

A: No. This is a structured somatic education and support programme, not individual therapy. It is not a substitute for clinical mental health treatment. If you feel you need individual therapeutic support, I also offer 1:1 sessions.

Q: What if I can't attend a live session?

A: All sessions are recorded. You can catch up at your own pace, and the community space remains available between sessions.

Q: I have no experience with somatic practice — is this suitable?

A: Yes. The programme is designed for beginners and introduces somatic concepts step by step. No prior experience is needed.

Q: How many people will be in the group?

A: Groups are kept intentionally small — a maximum of 8 participants — to ensure depth, safety, and genuine connection.
